Skopes Announces New Wholesale Divisional Head
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Wells, to the newly created role of Divisional Head of Wholesale having recently completed a consultancy contract in which he was tasked with developing a comprehensive strategy to further continue the businesses growth plans within the independent and chain retail sector.
In this key position, Rob is responsible for driving the wholesale division forward and utilising the newly enhanced product ranges whilst working with key independents to promote the brand. Having been available from independent menswear stores for over 60 years the appointment of a dedicated wholesale divisional head now allows independent stores to tap in to Rob’s considerable experience in the sector as well as actively supporting them with a dedicated incentive programme to encourage sales. The latest collections within the Skopes range will continue with their proven approach for utilising good quality fabrics, strong tailoring, attention to detail and all offered at exceptional value.
Rob has extensive wholesale experience of both Major and Independent Retail accounts in the UK and Ireland having worked with brands such as Pierre Cardin, Van Heusen and Viyella.He brings with him a proven knowledge of the sector which he will develop alongside Skopes Retail and Skopes Corporatewear.
Rob said of his appointment “I was attracted to Skopes because of the strong brand heritage and growth potential, this is a menswear brand that is starting to get noticed – “and I wanted to be part of helping drive that continued success.“
On Rob’s appointment, Simon Cope, Managing Director at Skopes commented “Rob’s extensive industry experience and passion for the organisation make him an excellent addition to the company. Rob’s plans for the Wholesale Department include the introduction of a new wholesale website allowing independents to easily access, mix and match product ranges online as well as looking at targeted product and brand development. Key to the strategy is working even further with independents to build collaborative partnerships and for Skopes to support the retailers wherever possible.

The growing trend toward school proms and an increasing number of people partying at summer balls has created a new demand for more fashionable formal attire. In response to this Skopes’ design team have created the Ronson slim fit fashion tux.
The one button jacket is available from 36” chest, tailored to a contemporary slimmer fitting block, with satin piping trim to the narrow peak lapels.

s will be giving customers their first chance to view the new spring/summer 2012 collection at the upcoming Aimex Show.
Aimex, is the show targeted specifically at quality independent menswear retailers and brings together over 100 leading brands offering the latest in mens fashion and accessories.

Skopes now employs over 150 people in our retail operations including 3 Skopes standalone stores as well as over 50 concession stores within leading high street department stores.
This has led the development of Skopes collections to include a strong casual wear offer as well as formal shirts and accessories to complement our core suiting ranges.
